Who We Are

The International Foundation of Hope is a non-profit tax exempt corporation registered with ministry of economy of Afghanistan. The unofficial beginning of the organization grew out of a desire to see social change affected in the third world at the grass roots level. Emphasizing indigenously directed business and agricultural projects rooted in first hand long term relationships between IF Hope staff members and indigenous communities, IF Hope’s efforts ranged from Venezuela to Russia to Afghanistan. In 1998, IF Hope acquired official NGO status and narrowed its focus to education, agriculture and humanitarian aid in the country of Afghanistan. Although the organization was not incorporated as a public charity until 1999, IF Hope’s staffs’ relationship with the country stretched back as far as forty years. Between the years of 1998 and 2001, and with the consent of the previous Taliban regime, IF Hope staff members continued to encourage and support the schools, businesses, and agricultural projects they had initiated.
